Panama, inspired by the concept of a "Private Interest Foundation" that began when the Principality of Liechtenstein created the "Law of Persons & Companies", the 20th of January, 1926, created the Law #25 - June 15, 1995, which gives the legal foundation fot the Private Interest Foundation in the Republic of Panama.

The Private Interest Foundation are born to life through legal donation that makes a person of their heritage or part of it, for the purpose of compliance with certain objectives or purposes duly specified in the legal documents that give legal status to its constitution (Founding Act Regulation and Foundation), for the benefit of those who are its beneficiaries. There is a need for greater understanding, exposing roughly the objectives and benefits for which this is legal figure of great interest:

1. Is a legal means of help in the protection and management of family assets and / or personal, as well as for insurance, estate planning and organization; whenever assets transferred to the Heritage Foundation are a separate and independent the assets of its founder, its donors, as well as the assets of the beneficiaries, which is why as a general rule that has a heritage IFJ is legally insecuestrable and unattachable, or subject to any interim measure, and also means outside the mass herencial in case of death of its founder, it can not be disputed in this concept. Therefore, its effects may surtirse from the moment of its creation or after the death of its founder.

2. Multiple Their purpose may be, however, remains banned to pursue profit however, may carry out commercial activities in a non-routine or accidental, except for commitments inherent in the very Foundation (estate management of foundation).

3. Admits the inclusion of several persons or entities as beneficiaries, and not just to members of the family unit.

4. Persons or entities involved in the destiny of the Foundation who by virtue of his office obtained confidential information related to the management and / or internal organization of the Foundation, are required to maintain this information in strict secrecy on pain of being punished criminal and / or money.
